Próst! It's Oktoberfest at Laurel Run
Friday, October 4 | | 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Demonstration class, taught by Laura DePalma Isabella, Chef-Instructor
While we can’t bring you to Germany, we can bring Germany to you by way of our Oktoberfest celebration at Laurel Run! This annual festival, which is held in Munich over a two-week period and ending on the first Sunday of October, is signified by copious amounts of beer, hearty food, and cheer. Join us for this light-hearted class as we deck out the cooking school in Bavarian decor, sample a couple German beers, and learn to make Homemade Soft Bavarian Pretzels with Beer Cheese Dip; Crisp Pork Schnitzel; Buttered Spaetzle; German-Braised Sweet & Sour Red Cabbage; Classic Gurkensalat of Cucumbers, Sour Cream & Fresh Dill; and Homemade Apple Strudel with Spiced Whipped Cream. We’ll provide the food and oompah music (featuring Ein Prosit, of course), you bring your favorite German beer and beer stein. Bonus points if you dress in lederhosen or dirndl! Próst!
