Satisfying Soups & Homemade Bread

Demonstration Class, Taught by Marcia DePalma
Beat the winter chill and cozy up with three extremely satisfying soups that explore flavor profiles from various cuisines, plus a lesson in baking bread at home. First we start with a rich and smooth Austrian Potato Soup, followed by Minestrone (Italian for big soup), a thick vegetable-and-pasta soup liberally topped with grated Parmesan and pesto. (Add a hunk of crusty bread alongside and this becomes a hearty meal!) Finally, the Scandinavian-inspired Smoked Salmon Chowder with fresh dill, capers and lemon has become a family favorite. We will also learn Yeast Baking Basics and a Master Dough recipe in this class to make a quick focaccia, bread sticks, and hot rolls.
